Project Scope
New construction of the Washington University Environmental Health and Safety Building on WUSM campus. Facility will accommodate the Environmental Compliance, Radiation Safety, and Central Services department. The facility provides comprehensive services including safety inspections, collection, processing, storage, shipping, inventory and disposal of hazardous materials such as chemical, biological, radioactive, universal and special materials for main campus customers. Design included blast rooms, aqueous film-forming foam fire suppression (AFFF), Class 1 Division 2 Hazardous locations, Class 1 Biological Safety Sabinet, Fume Hoods, loading dock and office spaces.
