Project Scope
SSC was retained as part of the master plan phased project to renovate the 100+ year old historic capital and north plaza. The plan included a full interior renovation of the capital and adjacent government buildings. The study and planning phase included extensive mechanical, electrical and plumbing revisions as well as structural modifications to existing mezzanines and tunnels.
The final scope was limited to the exterior renovation. SSC was then retained for electrical and lighting services. Wiring was upgraded for light fixtures and selection of custom step lights to meet current egress lighting requirements. Photometric calculations were performed as part of the lighting fixture specification process. All lighting fixtures were upgraded to LED. The stone replacement and monument modifications were closely coordinated for light fixtures and finishes were selected to provide functional and aesthetic upgrades to the plaza monuments.
