Congratulations to North Jefferson County Ambulance District on opening House #2! The new ambulance building is intended to reduce response times and support the growing community needs. The building is approximately 5700 square feet, and is equipped with various green features including LED lighting and energy saving controls, low flow plumbing fixtures, radiant heat in the apparatus bay, waste recycling, site layout that provides infiltration and treatment of storm-water runoff and staging of exhaust to run only as needed. SSC Engineering provided Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Structural Engineering Services for the project.
We are happy to announce that the recently-constructed US Bank in Westport (Maryland Heights, Missouri) has achieved LEED Certification. SSC Engineering worked alongside KWA Architects to design the ground-up 4,000 square foot branch location which had a total construction cost of just over $1 million.
The facility received LEED Points for controllability of lighting and thermal systems, thermal design and verification, optimized energy performance, and water use reduction among many other environmentally minded features. Thanks to KWA Architects and US Bank for helping make this project a success.
