Project Scope
SSC was a partnering team member on the design and construction of the new Mass Spectrometer Center. Lab space was renovated to accomodate 24 mass spectrometers. Overhead pendant mounted, Kewaunee service carriers provided high purity gas connections, fume exhaust ports and electrical connections. The mass spectrometers were connected with flexible utilities from the over head carriers to their custom equipment casework and electronics. Other custom features of the lab was the vibration isolation design and acoustic reduction enclosures for the lab equipment. The room was designed for redundant HVAC and high purity nitrogen as well as generator and UPS power backup.
