Project Scope
With SSC’s ongoing working relationship with the University, we have completed multiple projects within the Women and Children’s Hospital along with the Teaching Hospital. SSC has provided electrical upgrades and chiller replacement at the Women and Children’s Hospital. Options were also evaluated for enclosing the open-air utility area and providing a crane and monorail assembly for lifting and removal of the utility company transformers when needed. Provided design for emergency power modifications at the University’s Teaching Hospital. The emergency power modifications included the creation of a new emergency electrical distribution room to house bypass-isolation automatic transfer switches and emergency power distribution boards to increase reliability. Phasing plans and temporary provisions were detailed to minimize service interruptions during construction. Provided mechanical and electrical commissioning services for the Teaching Hospital normal power substation replacement.
